Udawalawe National Park is arguably the best place in Sri Lanka to see wild elephants. Centered around a large reservoir, the park's open grasslands make it easy to spot the large herds that roam the area. A jeep safari here almost guarantees an encounter with these gentle giants. The park is also home to water buffalo, deer, crocodiles, and various bird species.
